Over 200 tonnes of fruits from Thai East find way to Vietnam, Cambodia each day

BANGKOK, May 7 (TNA) - Association of Thai-Cambodia trade and tourism in Chanthaburi province says more than 200 tonnes of fruits from the eastern Thai province find their ways to Vietnam and Cambodia each day. The association vice president Sombat Chaungtrakul said the orders for fruits by both Thai and Cambodia traders at border markets in Chanthaburi have increased by 70 tonnes daily this year. Mangoesteen, especially, is very popular in Vietnam with more than 80 tonnes of the fruit being ordered each day, he said. According to him, the traders said they receive more orders because Thai fruits can easily find their ways to enter the two countries due to development of transport system, especially in Cambodia where several new roads have been built.
