Over 3 billion barrels of oil produced from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli in 20 years

Baku, March 30, AZERTAC More than 3 billion barrels of oil have been produced from the "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" (ACG) field block, since 1997, said BP Chief Operating Officer (COO) of production, transformation and carbon Gordon Birrell. He emphasized that over the coming decades, the ACG will continue its production with such high rates. “Currently, ACG daily flare gas do not burn. Only when there is an emergency situation, flaring of gas is burned to ensure safety and security or during preventive and repair work”, Gordon Birrell informed.
