Perda-ASEAN To Play Host To Mercosur Trade Mission

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- The ASEAN Traders Association (Perda-ASEAN), with support from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), will play host to the first trade mission from Mercosur countries on Oct 22. Perda-ASEAN president Moehamad Izat Emir said the programme is a platform to help Mercosur and ASEAN entrepreneurs grow their business. “The trade mission is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs in ASEAN to learn what the Mercosur-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce offers and get great tips on what to expect during the event and beyond,” he said in a statement Tuesday. At the event, the Mercosur ambassadors will share the experiences of their respective countries’ top businesses. Participants can also network directly with the business owners as well as the official trade representatives from the embassies. Mercosur’s full members are Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, with Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Equador, Guyana, Peru and Suriname as associate members and New Zealand and Mexico as observer countries. -- BERNAMA
