Pertamina Operates Former Petronas Filling Station In Dago
Bandung, West Java, Aug 16 (Antara) - State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina officially opened the Dago company-owned company-operated (COCO) gasoline filling station in Bandung, West Java, it has acquired from Petronas here on Friday.
"The COCO SPBU in Dago is one of eight SPBUs it has acquired. The decision to acquire the stations is aimed at increasing service and strengthening the company`s domestic market especially in the retail sector," Peramina`s President Director Karen Agustiawan said at the opening ceremony.
She said the company has acquired eight gasoline filling stations located in Jakarta, Tangerang (Banten), Sidoarjo (East Java), Medan (North Sumatra) and Bandung.
"The opening of the SPBU COCO here in Bandung symbolized the opening of all SPBU COCOs and it has deliberately done a day before the country`s 68th independence anniversary to show the spirit of nationalism," she said.
She said all the SPBUs would be developed into SPBU COCO which are wholly owned and operated by Pertamina through its subsidiary PT Pertamina Retail.
She said she hoped the operation of more SPBU COCOs in regions would provide a role model for other SPBUs with regard to standard service.
The SPBUs that would be operated by Pertamina Retail would serve non-subsidized Pertamax, Pertamax Plus and Pertamax Dex types of gasoline.
Karen said she hoped their presence would also encourage people to use non-subsidized fuels.
"SPBUs are reflection of Pertamina and are company`s front line service that will also show whether or not the company`s transformation is successful," she said.
She said the company`s "Pasti Pas" (exact measurement) slogan has become the company`s icon of positive change and has become an example for SPBUs at home and abroad.
"Our dream is all SPBUs in Indonesia later would become SPBU Pasti Pas and become an example. We are ready to give the best service to private SPBUs that wish to change to Pasti Pas," she said.
The implementation of the Pasti Pas standard would be continuously monito4red by an independent institution.
"We assured the Pasti Pas standard would be sustainable," she said.
