PM attends APEC Summit in Vietnam

BANGKOK, Nov 10 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha left Bangkok for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Vietnam. Gen Prayut, his spouse and other delegates boarded a plane at the Royal Thai Air Force’s Wing 6 in Don Muang district, Bangkok, heading for Danang to attend the 25th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. This overseas trip was scheduled to last until Nov 15 as he will also attend the 31st ASEAN Summit in Manila, the Phillippines. Before the departure, the prime minister said that he had not proposed a cabinet reshuffle list to His Majesty the King. Deputy government spokesman Werachon Sukondhapatipak said the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting was set on Nov 10-11 under the theme “Creating New Dynamism and Fostering Shared Future”. It focuses on sustainable, innovative and inclusive growth, regional economic integration, the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, food security and sustainable agriculture. Gen Prayut would present Thailand’s views on free trade, connectivity, green economy, and human resource and economic development. (TNA)
