PM backs Thai tourism for all

BANGKOK, September 28 ( TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has echoed his support for a policy on "tourism for all", as travels are a basic right for all people. The prime minister voiced the stance while delivering a speech at an event in Bangkok on September 27, marking the World Tourism Day 2016 hosted by Thailand for the first time as honourably-designated by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The prime minister said the Thai tourism has gradually developed, with facilities for connectivity having been created by the Thai government in all aspects to turn Thailand to become a quality tourism hub with equal access to all groups of travelers, including the elderly, persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the other underprivileged. The prime minister also noted that Thailand has many outstandingly comparative advantages in the tourism industy and the Thai Kingdom has welcomed most international visitors in Southeast Asia.
