PRESIDENT TO PARTICIPATE IN WEF

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ After a visit to Liechtenstein, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj will head for Switzerland to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting January 22-25 in Davos. The forthcoming action is special for Mongolia because it will run a discussion on future of its economic development. This year’s meeting will be held under a general theme "The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business" with participation of some 2,700 delegates, representing political, social and economic and business fields. It aims to develop the insights, initiatives and actions necessary to respond to current and emerging challenges, the WEF website says. The Mongolian delegation will take part in several meetings and measures regarding climate change, water and mining issues, anti-corruption partnership and smart governance. Moreover, they will introduce to the gathered a research report called "Versions of Mongolia’s developmental strategy", which has been co-implemented by the WEF NGO. A measure for propagandizing Mongolia will be organized as well.
