Qatar Chamber and Iraqi Chambers of Commerce to Cooperate

Doha, July 08 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber (QC) Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani met here today with HE President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, Abdel Razzak El Zouhairy and the accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed ways of cooperation, investment issues in the Qatari and Iraqi private sectors aside of investment opportunities in the industrial and agricultural sectors and ways for further cooperation between the Qatari and Iraqi businesspersons. Both sides expressed interest in further cooperative work in various sectors. HE the Chairman highlighted the strength of bilateral ties, stressing the commitment to develop them further in business and commerce. His Excellency noted that Qatari and Iraqi businessmen are looking forward to exploring opportunities to establish partnerships and develop trade and economic interests between them. His Excellency stressed that there is a real desire to increase the volume of trade, noting that it was still not up to the aspirations of both sides. (QNA)
