Qatar Chamber, Astana Int'l Financial Center Discuss Ways of Enhancing Cooperation

Doha, February 04 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber and Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) in Kazakhstan have discussed ways and means of enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in areas such as banking and financial investment. The private sector welcomes the strengthening of cooperation relations with its Kazakh counterpart in the light of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in Doha during a visit by a Kazakh business delegation to attend Made in Qatar exhibition last December, said Deputy Chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohammed bin Towar Al Kuwari. The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the Qatari and Kazakh private sectors and exchange visits between the two countries' business community in order to establish joint projects and exchange experiences between Qatari companies and their counterparts in Kazakhstan. AIFC CEO Nurlan Kussainov said the Center is a new platform for management companies, investment banks, funds and companies providing alternative financial instruments and financial technology, pointing out that his country looks forward to benefiting from the Qatari experience in the field of financial centers, while praising the great success achieved by the Qatar Financial Center in attracting many international financial and investment institutions.
