Qatar Chamber, Civil Defence Directorate Joint Committee Discusses Obstacles Facing Private Sector

Doha, January 06 (QNA) - The Qatar Chamber and Civil Defence Directorate Joint Committee met today at the headquarters of Qatar Chamber and decided holding an open meeting with businessmen to discuss the obstacles that facing the private sector . Mohammed Al Ahbabi, member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber and a member of the Joint Committee said that the Chamber welcomes the continued cooperation with the Civil Defence Directorate, noting that the Committee was formed to introduce the laws, the requirements and specifications of the Civil Defence in as well as the dissemination of safety requirements and fire systems in the Qatari business community. Ahbabi confirmed that the Chamber is willing to make the effort and cooperation through the Joint Committee by organizing a seminar with business owners, contractors, and advisory offices, all bodies that dealing with the Civil Defence to discuss all the obstacles and problems and propose appropriate solutions. Ahbabi praised the role of the Civil Defense Department in the community, pointing to the importance of involving all stakeholders in search of these constraints and access to mechanisms that will make it easier for property owners at the same time meet the requirements of safety and fire systems in all old and modern buildings. For his part, Major Hussein Ali Assistant Director of Prevention Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defense and a member of the Committee thanked the Qatar Chamber for its keenness to find solutions to all the obstacles that facing business owner as a representative and defender of the interests of the private sector.
