Qatar Chamber Discusses Obstacles Facing Insurance Industry

Doha, February 01 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) on Sunday discussed key issues related to the insurance industry in an attempt to find and develop appropriate mechanisms to resolve obstacles facing this important sector in the country. The insurance industry's issues were discussed during a meeting held by QCCI's Insurance Committee. The meeting reviewed the committee's responsibility and functions in the development of the insurance sector and the need to educate the public about their rights and duties, in addition to insurance companies' role in clarifying the regulations and laws in order to increase awareness among the citizens as well as raise the level of services and facilitate procedures for customers. HE QCCI Chairman and Head of the Insurance Committee Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani said the committee seeks to identify the obstacles and challenges facing insurance companies in providing their services to the community, noting to the committee's duty in introducing the public to these companies' role.
