Qatar Chamber Participates in World Chambers Congress in Australia

Doha, September 17 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry will participate in the 10th World Chambers Congress "Chambers Congress" organized by the World Chambers Federation (WCF) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), in collaboration with the Sydney Business Chamber (SBC), from September 19 to 21. Chairman of the Qatar Chamber and Chairman of the International Chamber in Qatar HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, said that the Chamber's participation in this World Congress aims to enhance communication between business sectors in Qatar and the world to facilitate the flow of trade between Qatar and various countries of the world. He stressed that the Chamber will continue its efforts to facilitate trade around the world. He added in a statement issued by the Qatar Chamber Sunday, that the World Chambers Congress is one of the important events in the world trade, where it discusses all issues and matters related to the flow of trade around the world. HE Sheikh Khalifa pointed out that the conference represents a valuable opportunity for business owners from around the world to develop the networks between the chambers and benefit from their mutual experiences, as well as to discuss the pressing issues facing the international business community, also representing a global gathering of international businessmen to enhance the efforts of communication between trade chambers and benefit from its expertise for future business and trade. The Chairman of the Qatar Chamber pointed to the great success achieved by the Eighth World Chambers Congress, which was hosted by the Qatar Chamber in 2013 and held for the first time in the Middle East, with about 2300 people representing more than 143 countries taking part. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has awarded HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber and Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce in Qatar, the title of "Merchant of Peace", the highest award given by the international organization in recognition of his efforts with the ICC, especially with regard to the World Trade Agenda Initiative, a joint initiative of the International Chamber of Commerce and the Qatar Chamber, which calls for trade facilitation around the world.
