Qatar's Minister of Economy and Commerce Meets CEO of Turkey's Koc Holding

Bern, January 23 (QNA) - HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani met on Tuesday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos with Levent Cakiroglu, CEO of Turkish Koc Holding. The meeting touched on prospects for joint cooperation across numerous fields as well as investment opportunities in the State of Qatar. For his part, Cakiroglu highlighted measures to promote joint investments in Qatar and Turkey. Koc Holding operates across several fields, including oil, consumer goods, automobiles, banking, energy and information technology. The State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey enjoy close economic and trade relations that reflect positively on the volume of bilateral trade, which amounted to about QR 2 billion in the first half of 2017, the equivalent of $547 million.
