QCCI Meets Canadian Trade Delegation

Doha, February 22 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) held a meeting here today with a visiting Canadian trade delegation from the province of Nova Scotia. The meeting, which was attended by a number of Canadian businessmen and their Qatari counterparts, reviewed with means of enhancing cooperation in the private sector in both countries. Ali Abdullatif Al Misnad, QCCI Board Member underlined the importance of this meeting in promoting bilateral trade and economic relations and elaborating a number of long-term partnerships. He renewed the QCCI 's keenness to establish joint venture with international partners, expressing readiness to provide the necessary information and data for those interested in conducting business in Qatar. He stressed QCCI 's commitment to achieve greater cooperation between the Qatari businessmen and their Canadian counterparts for the common interest of both sides. For his part, Mr. Stephen Lend, President and CEO of Nova Scotia Business Inc. hailed the Qatari growing economy, considering Qatar as an ideal place for doing business, and the QCCI as an ideal partner and facilitator. He also expressed his willingness to exert every possible effort for achieving cooperation for the benefit of both sides. (QNA)
