QFMA Workshop Boosts Fight against Money Laundering

Doha, February 28 (QNA) - A workshop organized by Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) here raised the pitch in the fight against money laundering, terror financing and discussed ways to further develop prevention controls. The workshop targeted Qatar Exchange, Qatar Central Depository Securities, and financial services companies and their agents. It stressed the need to use regulatory rules and tools by the financial authority to boost supervision and pursue follow-up actions consistent with best international standards. The workshop called to take action against perpetrators of money laundering, terror financiers and those who violate the rules and regulations prescribed by the authorities. (QNA)
