QNET Makes Further Inroads Into Myanmar
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Prominent direct selling company, QNET, has made further inroads into Myanmar with the opening of its second agency office in Mandalay, on Thursday.
In a statement, QNET said the inauguration came eleven months after the appointment of Kyi Min Brothers Company Ltd as its agent in Yangon.
"Myanmar was among the top 20 markets for QNET consistently over the last eleven months.
"The region's (Mandalay) population is also seen as an advantage with around 2.2 million residents," it added.
QNET is optimistic over direct selling industry in Myanmar as is trending in other emerging economies.
QNET, optimising on the usage of the e-commerce platform, has contracted Kyi Min Brothers to provide local customer support and display its products in Mandalay.
"QNET firmly believes that there is nothing more empowering to individuals than the financial freedom that a career in the direct selling industry offers.
"We believe the people of Myanmar and particularly in Mandalay, with their ambition and strong sense of entrepreneurship, will appreciate the quality consumer products we sell as well as business opportunities offered," said Stevenson Charles, QNET's regional general manager, Southeast Asia.
Kyi Min Han, managing director of Kyi Min Brothers said: "As in Yangon, we look forward to deepening our relationship with QNET through a strong partnership with the people of Mandalay.I urge them to visit our office and see the variety of QNET products on display and grab opportunities available."
Also present at the launch Friday was QNET director Krishna Kumar, as well as a host of dignitaries and distributors of the company products in Myanmar, which has a buoyant direct selling sector
QNET has more than six million customers from over 100 countries globally.
