Romanian Agriculture Minister: New Horizons for Cooperation with Qatar in Investment and Agricultural Exports

Doha, March 21 (QNA) - HE Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania Petre Daea underlined the significant cooperation between Qatar and Romania in the agricultural field, pointing to the opening of new horizons for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of investment and agricultural exports. In statements to Al-Raya newspaper on the sidelines of his visit to the Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ2019) and the First International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ), HE the Minister said that Romania is committed to providing all aspects of support and cooperation with the State of Qatar under the Memorandum of Understanding signed by Romanian Prime Minister Vasilica Viorica Dancila during her visit to Qatar last year to promote cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural field. The Romanian Minister expected further cooperation between the two countries in the coming period, noting a number of meetings held with Qatari businessmen on the sidelines of the visit to review areas of cooperation in the fields of investment, agricultural exports and other related fields. On his country's participation in the exhibition, the Minister underlined that Romania attaches particular importance to the exhibition as a mean of cooperation with the State of Qatar, noting that 14 of the largest and most important companies in the fields of agriculture and agricultural research and products in Romania are taking part in the exhibition to introduce their products to the Qatari market. HE the Romanian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development praised Qatar's efforts in achieving a comprehensive economic development, especially in the field of agricultural development, and its strive to achieve food security and find solutions that contribute to the advancement of this vital sector and enhance its role in sustainable development through expanding cooperation with all countries in this field.
