Rusal opens representative office in Turkey

MOSCOW, June 23. /TASS/. Aluminum producer Rusal opens a representative office in Istanbul, Turkey, the company said Tuesday. The company considers the market prospects to be high - in 2014 approximately 500,000 tonnes of the company’s total sales were consumed in Turkey, more than 25% of these sales were in value added products. Rusal metal production accounts for roughly 50% of all the aluminum imported to Turkey. At the same time Rusal will continue to work closely together with Mechem S.A. - the major buyer and distributor of Rusal production in Turkey over the last 15 years. Rusal is the world's largest aluminium producer. The company’s main products are primary aluminium, aluminum alloys, foil and alumina. Rusal employs about 69,000 people. Rusal is present in 19 countries on five continents. The company sells its products primarily in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Japan, China and Korea. Rusal shares are traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Read more
