Russian cabinet to improve statistics of trade, payments with EAEU member-states

GORKI, December 28. /TASS/. Russia’s government intends to improve statistics of trade with member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union (the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan).
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev offered consideration of a draft law, which "improves keeping track of statistics of mutual settlements and trade between Russia and member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union" at a government meeting on Monday. "Currently accounting is based on special forms, which are submitted to the Federal Customs Service and further on to Rosstat where they are summarized and are submitted to the Eurasian Commission," Medvedev said, adding that "not all participants present such statistical data forms, some taking wrong data, which has an impact on stock accounting."
PM added that "after the draft law is adopted exceptionally customs bodies will be involved in keeping track of statistics." "Each participant will be obliged to present statistical forms while the Federal Customs Service will receive the authority to call to account those who have not presented such documents or have submitted untrustworthy information," Medvedev said.
