Russian minister says over 20 documents on energy cooperation to be signed during Putin’s visit to Japan

NAGATO /Japan/, December 15. /TASS/. More than 20 documents on cooperation between Russian and Japanese energy companies are planned to be signed during President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Japan, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters. "A total of 23 memorandums and agreements between our and Japanese companies have been prepared. Our companies include Gazprom, Rosneft, Novatek as well as electricity companies RusHydro, Rosseti and some others," the minister said. According to him, these documents will "allow us to start implementing specific projects." Novak named Mitsui, Mitsubishi Motors, Marubeni and TEPCO among the Japanese companies participating in the agreements. On the whole, the Russian minister noted that energy sector was "one of the industries in which we have been actively cooperating with Japan." Read more
