Singapore Releases Recalled Coffee Tree Mycafe 4-In-1 Penang Durian White Coffee

By Massita Ahmad SINGAPORE, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) Wednesday releases “Coffee Tree Mycafe 4-In-1 Penang Durian White Coffee” to the importer as all the samples taken passed its tests. AVA earlier recalled Coffee Tree MyCafe 4-in-1 Penang Durian White Coffee products on Feb 3, 2018 as a precautionary measure, following reports of consumers in Penang being hospitalised after drinking the coffee. “”We took samples of the recalled product for food safety tests and all the samples passed our tests,” it said in its latest update on Facebook. AVA said it has also followed up with the Malaysian authorities on the case. “The Malaysian authorities informed us that the product implicated in the incident in Penang was found to be tampered with, and there was no evidence to suggest that the main product line was contaminated. “AVA has thus released the products to the importer today,” it said. -- BERNAMA
