South Korea may help develop innovative Smart Cities in Chiang Mai, Phuket

BANGKOK, April 28 (TNA) -- The Startup Thailand 2016 fair was launched in Bangkok along with South Korea's possible investment in Smart Cities of innovation in Chiang Mai and Phuket provinces. Opening the two-day fair at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre on April 28, Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak also met Choi Yanghee, South Korean Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning. The South Korean minister told Mr Somkid that South Korea was ready to help Thailand develop the Smart Cities. South Korean investors could team up with potential Thai start-up operators in food and information businesses there. The Thai Ministry of Science and Technology, government agencies and the private sector organise the Startup Thailand 2016 fair to encourage start-up operators to learn and develop their products and services. In the fair, Thai and foreign organisations present state-of-the-art technologies relating to food and farm products, as well as financial services and electronic commerce innovations. (TNA)
