South Korean Investors Meet Sarawak CM
KUCHING (Sarawak, Malaysia) Jan 17 (Bernama) -- Two delegations of South Korean investors met with Chief Minister Abang Johari Openg Thursday.
The chief minister’s office said one delegation was led by OCIM Sdn Bhd president and chief executive officer Hu Kwan.
“Hu gave an overview of OCIM’s current investment in Sarawak to the chief minister and also briefed him on the company’s new investment plans,” it said in a statement Thursday.
OCIM Sdn Bhd operates a polysilicon plant with an annual production capacity of 14,000 tonnes in the Samalaju Industrial Zone, Bintulu and employs more than 700 people.
Abang Johari also received a courtesy call from Dongjin Semichem Co Ltd chairman and CEO Boo-Sup Lee.
The company, a confirmed investor in Sarawak, is a well-known manufacturer of materials for flat panel display and semi-conductors, materials for alternative energy sources and foaming agents.
