Startup should think ten years ahead

JERUSALEM, Nov 7 (TNA) - Tech startup should think ten years in advance and adopt academic technology for strong fundamental of their business plan, suggested Dr Yaron Daniel, chief executive of Yissum Research Development Company.
The company is the technology transfer company of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Dr Yaron said it takes five to ten years for startups for technology development and they don’t know whether the developing technology still works when it is finished. As a result, they have to think ten years ahead.
He said his company wanted startups to be ready before they start seeking funding from investors. The company believes that if support is provided for fledgling startups to grow at some certain extent, their businesses will have more chance for success.
Yissum was founded in 1964 to turn Hebrew University researches into commercial outcomes and has already helped 80 startups establish their businesses.
International companies, which were interested in investing in new idea, initiated by local startups, bought their businesses and created new products into the markets. One of these examples is cherry tomatoes. (TNA)
