Statistics of Master Budget

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In January of 2015, total equilibrated revenue and grants of the General Government Budget (GGB) amounted to MNT 353.6 billion, a total expenditure and net lending amounted to MNT 366.4 billion, representing a deficit of 12.8 billion Togrog in the equilibrated balance. Compared to same period of the previous year, tax revenue increased 17.3 billion Togrog or 5.8 percent due to increases of 62.3 billion Togrog or 3.6 times in other taxes, 8.0 billion Togrog or 12.9 percent in social security contributions, although a value added tax revenue decreased 36.5 billion Togrog or 36.4 percent, revenue of foreign activities by 10.4 billion Togrog or 41.6 percent, excise tax revenue --by 3.4 billion Togrog or 10.3 percent, and income tax revenue by --3.1 billion Togrog or 5.9 percent against same period of the previous year. Total expenditure and net lending of the GGB reached MNT 366.4 billion, showing decrease of 46.8 billion Togrog or 11.3 percent compared to same period of the previous year. This decrease was mainly due to the decreases of 22.7 billion Togrog or 93.6 percent in subsidies expenditure, 15.5 billion Togrog or 10.0 percent in transfers’ expenditure, and 13.1 billion Togrog or 8.3 percent in expenditure on goods and services, although there were increases of 4.0 billion Togrog or 6.1 percent in capital expenditure, and of 5.4 billion Togrog or 21.5 percent in interest payments.
