Sukuk Al Salam securities oversubscribed by 340%

Manama, Sept. 13 (BNA): The monthly issue of the Sukuk Al Salam Islamic securities has been oversubscribed by 340%, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced. Subscriptions worth BD 146.322 million were received for the BD 43 million issue, which carries a maturity of 91 days. The expected return on the issue, which begins on September 15 and matures on December 15, is 1.42% compared to 1.50% of the previous issue on August 18. The Sukuk Al Salam are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is issue No.245 (BH000497F296) of the short-term Sukuk Al Salam series.
