Tehran, Baku discuss ways to enhance trade ties

TEHRAN,Nov.10(MNA) - Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak-Aeen and Azerbaijani minister of emergency situations Kamaleddin Heydarov met in Baku on Thursday, discussing ways to boost trade and economic ties. The two sides reviewed solutions to remove hurdles on the way of customs and banking cooperation. Dispatching economic delegations and holding seminars and exhibitions on potentials of the two neighbors were also highlighted. In September, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called current relations between Iran and Azerbaijan as friendly and constructive, and said that Tehran tries to explore new avenues for expansion of bilateral ties. Iranian foreign minister pointed out that despite the attempts made by the enemies to sow discord between the two brotherly nations and governments, Tehran is eager to boost and strengthen mutual ties in various political, economic, business and cultural arenas with Baku.
