Ten Thai listed firms included in DJSI 2014

BANGKOK, September 23 (TNA) - Thailand's 10 listed companies have been included in the globally-recognized Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) 2014, conducted by US-based S&P Dow Jones Indices. Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) President Kesara Manchusree told journalists on Tuesday that the 10 Thai listed firms in the DJSI 2014 increased from four last year, showing the success of Thai listed companies, their social and environment responsibilities and the SET's continual support for them. Kesara said she hopes that the inclusion should attract local and international investors to the Thai stock market and ensure good long-term returns for investors. Four firms have been included in the DJSI World category, namely PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP), PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) and the Siam Cement Group (SCC). Thai firms having been included in the DJSI Emerging Markets are Banpu Public Company Limited (BANPU), Central Pattana Public Company Limited (CPN), IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC), Minor International Public Company Limited (MINT), PTT, PTTEP, PTTGC, SCG, Thaioil (TOP) and Thai Union Frozen Products (TUF).
