Thai Chamber of Commerce confident of tax reduction incentive for late-year spending
BANGKOK, Nov 10 (TNA) -- The Thai Chamber of Commerce is confident that a tax reduction incentive for spending in the late period of the year will further stimulate the national economy and the upcoming cabinet reshuffle will suit the government’s work during the rest period of its tenure.
Kalin Sarasin, chair of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, said the tax measure would stimulate the economy that was showing signs of recovery. He said that investment was positive especially that in the Eastern Economic Corridor project area that was attracting investors from China and Japan.
Regarding reports on a speculated cabinet reshuffle, Mr Kalin said he believed the government would have suitable people who would efficiently work for its missions in the last year of its tenure.
He added that the 35th seminar of nationwide chambers of commerce would be organized in Surat Thani province on Nov 17-19. It would focus on the development of the Thailand 4.0 era that was in accordance with national, regional and provincial strategies, Mr Kalin said.
The event would also include meetings on investment, development and trade related to the food industry, and service and tourism sectors. Besides, Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak would deliver his speech in the seminar, Mr Kalin said. (TNA)
