Thai government to use revenue from 4G bidding
BANGKOK, December 17 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha plans to use money his government earns from the ongoing bidding for the 900-MHz spectrum reserved for the 4G wireless broadband to assist local farmers.
Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak, who oversees economic affairs, told journalists of the plan on Thursday, elaborating that the prime minister plans to spend the state proceed to assist local agriculturists who have been affected by falling prices of local farm products.
The current bidding for the 900-MHz spectrum reserved for 4G wireless broadband has already hit 100 billion baht as of December 17, the third day of the bidding contest.
The deputy prime minister urged winners from the ongoing 4G bidding to provide good services to the public. (TNA)
