Thai Inflation rate rose by 3.38% On-Year in September
BANGKOK, October 2 (TNA) - Thailand’s inflation rate in September rose 3.38 per cent on year due to the increased on electricity fees and the government’s excise taxes on tobacco and alcoholic beverages, says Kasikorn Research Center (K-Research).
The inflation rate this year will be at 3.3 per cent, according to the K-Research, while the inflation rate for next year will be at 3.8 per cent, given that the Thai economy grows by 4.5-5.5% and the Dubai crude oil price hovers within a range of 110 and 118 US dollars a barrel.
The research house also forecasts that the prices of goods will increase over the remainder of this year due to rising energy prices, which increase operators’ production costs. (TNA)
