Thai PM launches Startup Thailand 2016
BANGKOK, April 28 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-o-cha has launched the Startup Thailand 2016 event at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) under the theme, 'Unite to Rise and Startup for the Next Step of Thai Economy', aiming to further develop the country, pointing out that too much time has been wasted already.
The premier presided over the event earlier today, during which he also gave an opening speech under the title of 'Visions and Power to Build the Nation with Startup Thailand', noting that he is extremely happy to see new faces of business investors, while also expressing his gratitude to international business owners for their interests in the Thailand's startup project.
He said the government is currently trying to propel the Thai economy forward under the strategy of national stability, prosperity and sustainability in line with HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej's royally-initiated policy of sufficiency economy.
The prime minister then encouraged the public to help the government improve the country in accordance to the Pracharat or Civil State policy, where the government is trying its best to create diversity for businesses, while trying to develop the country concretely at present and well into the coming future.
Gen Prayuth also said the modern world also relies fully on the ICT system and technology, both of which possess benefits and disadvantages, adding that the government would do its best to make sure that technology could be used to improve the country to the fullest potential, while at the same time, maintain the Thainess or par with the plan to move towards new economy model dubbed Thailand 4.0.
