Thailand grants 33 new foreign firms with license in September

BANGKOK, September 23 (TNA) - The Business Development Department has announced that up to 33 foreign firms with a combined investment value of 4.188 billion baht have been given the green light in September to start operating in Thailand. Of the firms, 20 are in the service industry, with their total business value at 2.578 billion baht. The majority of them come from Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Germany, and the Netherlands. During the first nine months of 2012, up to 251 foreign firms with a combined investment value of 10.8 billion baht were issued with business licenses, up 27 per cent in terms of the number of applicants and about 2.7 billion baht in business value.
