Thailand Industry Expo 2018
NONTHABURI, Aug 3 (TNA) -- The Industry Ministry organises the Thailand Industry Expo 2018 to show off the potential of Thai industries and support the country’s Industry 4.0 development.
Opening the exposition, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said the “CHANGE to SHIFT” theme of the exposition reflected the country’s turning point to promote Industry 4.0, free itself from the middle-income trap and move towards the category of high-income countries.
Gen Prayut said he was confident that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) would be able to turn themselves into smart enterprises and thus result in rapid economic growth, income distribution and reduced inequality.
The Thailand Industry Expo 2018 consists of exhibitions on national contributions by King Rama IX and King Rama X, global industrial and economic trends and innovations of SMEs, large-scaled companies and universities.
There are also discussions on the development of various industries, a business-matching zone for Thai and Japanese operators and a fair of quality products.
The exposition was set at the IMPACT exhibition and convention complex in the Muang Thong Thani estate in Nonthaburi province on Aug 2-5. (TNA)
