Thailand introduces GSE in industries
BANGKOK, June 28 (TNA) - The Thai Ministry of Industry has introduced the Guidance on Sufficiency Economy for Industries to encourage local industrialists to develop their personnel and organizations in compliance with the Sufficiency Economy Principle, advised by His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej.
An official ceremony to launch the Guidance on Sufficiency Economy for Industries was held at the Ministry of Industry in Bangkok on Friday, aimed to keep a balance in Thailand's economic, social and environmental development and to promote national sustainable growth.
Earlier, the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) and the Management System Certification Institute proposed that the Ministry of Industry issue the Guidance on Sufficiency Economy for Industries in the country.
The Thai Ministry of Industry then formed a technical committee to work out the proposed guidance and invited Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the royally-founded Chaipattana Foundation, to be an adviser to the panel, headed by Permanent Secretary for Industry Witoon Simachokedee.
Bangkok-based Bathroom Design Co. has successfully applied the Guidance on Sufficiency Economy for Industries so far, after the TISI announced the guidance on February 18, 2013 and it was then published in Thailand's Royal Gazette on April 4, 2013. (TNA)
