Thailand Tourism Festival 2019 set Jan 24-27

BANGKOK, January 11 (TNA) - International tourists are welcome to visit the "Thailand Tourism Festival 2019" (TTF 2019), set to be organized at the Lumpini Park in the heart of Bangkok during January 24-27. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the state-run Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), made the announcement at a press conference, held in the capital on January 10, saying that the four-day event will be opened for public visits daily during 12-21hrs. Yuthasak stated that TAT has organized the annual TIF for almost the past four decades as a major activity, aimed to publicize updated information and domestic tourism activities internationally. Besides, the annual TIF is aimed to facilitate travelling plans to various Thai tourist destinations for international visitors who are welcome to concurrently enjoy other activities organized as part the four-day event, namely demonstrations and sales of original Thai dishes from all local regions, including those of Bangkok, as well as entertainment and arts stages. According to the TAT governor, the TIF 2019, the 39th of its kind, will be, thus, divided into nine zones, each of which will has its own highlights differently but will be under the same theme of "amazing Thailand" at all times and places. For the Bangkok zone alone, the TAT governor acknowledged that its highlights, under the theme of "Bangkok 24 hrs" and under the "green campaign" on no use of plastic and styrofoam containers for the systematic waste disposal, will be included the outstanding menu from the city's 50 districts, where people and international tourists can normally find and enjoy the food on sale around the clock. The TAT governor assessed that the four-day TIF 2019 should attract at least 600,000 international visitors and to earn the Thai Kingdom at least 400 million baht tourism-related revenues. (TNA) :
