TEHRAN,June 12(MNA) – An Iranian theater troupe is scheduled to perform a reading of “Where Is the Capital of Rio de Janeiro?” at Tehran’s Arasbaran Cultural Center on June 22 for the purpose of raising funds for people living in deprived areas.
All the money raised in the performance will be donated to the Barkat Charity Foundation, director/writer Nima Dehqani said in a press release on Tuesday.
Shabnam Moqaddami, Roya Miralami, Alireza Mohammadi, Hessam Mahmudi-Farid, Minuvash Rahimian, Amir Azizi and Leili Rashidi are the members of the cast of the performnce.
The play is about three people, who reveal their life stories while they answer the questions in a TV competition.
Dehqani planned to stage the play at Tehran’s Hafez Hall late this week, but it was postponed indefinitely due to Iran’s city and village council and presidential elections.
He said that his troupe would perform the play either in Hafez Hall or the Iranshahr Theater Complex in the near future.
A previous reading of the play had been welcomed at Tehran’s Milad Tower.
