Turkey's EU minister: Germany, Turkey's one of the most important trade partners

ANKARA (A.A) - January 19, 2012 - Turkey's European Union Minister & Chief Negotiator for accession talks Egemen Bagis said that Germany was one of the most important foreign trade partners of Turkey. Also, nearly three million Turkish citizens and kins were living in Germany, added Bagis who met German Ambassador Eberhard Pohl in Ankara on Thursday. Noting that Germany opened three chapters to negotiation with Turkey during its EU rotating presidency, Bagis said that Germany displayed a concrete support to Turkey's EU membership bid. Bagis said that he would hold meetings in Munich next week regarding Turkey's EU membership process, and he would also meet Pohl there. Meanwhile, Pohl said that he was appointed to his mission in Turkey six months ago, and added that Turkish-German relations were important.
