Turkish businessmen to invest in several areas in Turkmenistan

ISTANBUL (A.A) - March 1, 2012 - Turkish economy minister said on Thursday that Turkish businessmen would invest in several areas not only in contracting services, but also in tourism, energy, chemistry, industry, trade, agriculture, livestock and food in Turkmenistan. Delivering a speech at the Turkish-Turkmen Business Forum in Istanbul, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said that mutual trade between Turkey and Turkmenistan quadrupled in the past five years. Turkish contracting sector assumed projects worth more than 7.5 billion US dollars in Turkmenistan in the past two years, he said. Turkish businessmen were eager to continue their investments in this country, he added.
