Turkish fresh fruit and vegetable export increase
BURSA (A.A) - 07.03.2011 - Exports of fresh fruits and vegetables from northwestern Turkey have increased.
Bursa-based Association of Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables said that exports reached $32.35 million in the first two months of the year with an increase of 30.8 percent.
Exports rose 38 percent to $16.4 million in February 2011 from $11.9 million in the same month last year.
The province exported fresh fruits and vegetables to 52 countries.
The highest amount of exports were made to Germany with $5.31 million. It was followed by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Belgium, Japan and Greece.
