Turkish private airline company launches flights to Iranian capital
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 17.03.2011 - Turkish private airline company Atlasjet has started flying to Iran's capital city Tehran.
Atlasjet started scheduled flights between Istanbul and Tehran yesterday, becoming the second Turkish carrier that flies to the Iranian capital after Turkish Airlines (THY), a statement from the company said on Thursday.
Atlasjet flights from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport to Tehran will be conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while Tehran-Istanbul flights will be operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the statement noted.
The company also said that, after short waiting periods in Istanbul, Tehran flights will be connected to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, north of Iraq, Antalya, Izmir, Bodrum and Dalaman.
