Ukraine Envoy Calls For Further Ties With W. Azerbaijan Province

Orumiyeh, Feb 15, IRNA – Ukraine envoy to Tehran said economic and trade capacities of the west Azerbaijan province are desirable and called for further ties with the province. Alexander Samarsky, in a meeting with Governor General of the province here on Tuesday evening, expressed pleasure with being in the province and added that the province has high capacity in different fields which could be effective in developing trade and commercial exchanges. Appreciating provincial officials' hospitality, the ambassador went on to say that in a meeting with businessmen and merchants in the province, capacities of both sides were discussed and explanation of such abilities in Ukraine will persuade businessmen of the country to develop ties with the province. In the meeting, Governor General of the province Vahid Jalalzadeh underlined trade and transit abilities of the province and called for developing economic and trade relations with Ukraine. Jalalzadeh said being neighbor with four countries is an advantage for the province and added that Azerbaijan Republic and Armenia are among two good economic partners of the province in Caucasus region. He added that existence of four cement factories, commissioning steel plants, establishment of petrochemical industry and metal and non-metal industries are among other advantages of the province. Ukraine ambassador arrived in Oroumeyeh, capital of west Azerbaijan province, on Tuesday afternoon to visit economic, industrial, and agricultural capacities of the province and discuss issues of mutual interest with related provincial businessmen and officials./end
