VPCM Appoints Leitner As New Co-Managing Director

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 (Bernama) -- Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has appointed Kurt Leitner as managing director (MD), with immediate effect. In a statement, VPCM said Leitner, who joins Erik Winter, VPCM’s other MD, replaces Florian Steiner who has moved on to Europe to take up another challenge after almost four years in Malaysia. He will have a dual-role as MD in Malaysia and Singapore. Having been with the Porsche Holding Salzburg group since 1988, Leitner has held various management positions within the network, including MD at Porsche Romania for four years, general manager at Porsche Chile and PGA Ellada, as well as chief executive officer of Porsche Finance Group Romania. He will focus on human resources, information technology, and finance, while Winter will continue to helm VPCM’s sales, aftersales, dealer network and marketing operations.
