Ways to bolster Bahraini-Omani economic cooperation discussed

Manama, Sept. 8 (BNA): Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Abdulla Nasser, has expressed deep pride in the solid deep-rooted fraternal Bahraini-Omani relations.
While receiving here today the Bahraini Ambassador to Oman, Dr. Juma Al-Kaabi, Nass reviewed ways to increase the volume of bilateral trade with the Sultanate of Oman, including the exchange of trade visits and holding joint economic events to highlight the available investment opportunities in the two countries.
BCCI chief called on the Omani side to hold exhibitions in the kingdom to promote their products and investment projects, as well as expand their investments in Bahrain to avail of its stimulating investment advantages and the many facilities it grants to investors, in addition to its trained and skilled workforce and low operational cost.
Nass stressed the importance of developing the Bahraini-Omani economic relations, through steps aimed at bolstering cooperation relations between business owners, institutions and companies in the two brotherly countries at the level of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship.
In this regard, he praised the role played by the ambassador to create the appropriate climate for communication and opening new horizons for the trade, business and investment sectors in the two brotherly countries, commending his efforts to encourage the establishment of joint companies and projects between the business sectors of the two countries.
BCCI Chairman stressed the importance of continuing to hold bilateral meetings between the two countries because of their great impact in promoting joint economic and investment work between the two sides in various fields, especially in providing the GCC market's needs of food commodities and agricultural products, calling for more cooperation and coordination among the commercial, industrial and investment sectors in both countries, which will reflect positively on the interests of the two countries and their peoples.
Nass highlighted the importance of exchanging delegations and visits at the commercial and industrial levels, enhancing cooperation between chambers of commerce and consolidating the role of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship by setting up joint forums and workshops to exchange experiences in this field, stressing the importance of facilitating the export and import of goods and services between the two parties, as well as the establishment of joint projects to serve the economies of the two brotherly countries.
The Ambassador affirmed his keenness to bolster cooperation and continue his efforts to consolidate and strengthen trade and economic relations to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries, praising BCCI’s efforts and keenness to develop joint cooperation with friendly countries.
He pointed out that distinguished investment opportunities in the Omani market are related to the food industries, fish farming and mining.
