Year-end sale for X’Mas and the New Year festivals

BANGKOK, Dec 8 (TNA) -- Consumer manufacturers and shopping mall operators have agreed to organise a mega- sale campaign to celebrate the upcoming Christmas and the New Year festivals by offering between 20-80 per cent discount on consumer goods, said Wiboonluck Ruamrak, director-general of Commerce Ministry’s Internal Trade Department. Ms Wiboonluck said the attractive discount will be organised at 13,800 shopping malls, convenience stores and at goods manufacturing outlets throughout Thailand between December 17-27. The mega-sale offering, held for the third consecutive year, is expected to be larger than last year as shoppers will find several new and attractive items including sport equipment, electrical appliances, stationary and construction materials which are suitable for X’Mas and the New Year’s presents. It is expected that about 15 billion baht would change hands during the grand sale. (TNA)
