China, Iran and USA increase exports to Turkey last year
ANKARA (A.A) - China, Iran and the United States have significantly increased their exports to Turkey in 2010.
According to the data released by Turkey's statistics authority, TurkStat, China's exports to Turkey had increased 4.5 billion USD in 2010 compared to 2009.
Iran's sales to Turkey was up 4.2 billion USD last year, as USA's exports to the country also increased 3.7 billion USD, TurkStat said.
Turkey's imports from China amounted to 17.2 billion USD in 2010, while its purchases from Iran reached 7.6 billion USD and import from USA was around 12.3 billion USD, the authority said.
Meanwhile, increase was recorded in imports from Germany, one of the most important trade partners of Turkey.
Turkey's imports from Germany was up 3.4 billion USD last year, while its imports from Italy and Russia increased 2.5 billion USD and 2.1 billion USD respectively.
Total imports from Germany reached 17.5 billion USD in 2010, as imports from Italy amounted to 10.2 billion and from Russia to 21.6 billion USD, according to TurkStat.
In 2010, Russia, Germany and China were the top 3 countries from which Turkey imported the highest amount of goods.
