Customs Chief receives Chinese official

Manama, May 16 (BNA): Customs Chief, World Customs Organisation President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received Gao Xiang, Counselor (Customs) at the Chinese Mission to the European Union and discussed cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People's Republic of China.

During the meeting, the two sides  the upcoming WCO Council meeting of the Council of the World Customs Organization, focusing on the proposals which will be presented by the Chinese  Customs and other issues of common interest.

The Chinese official commended WCO president's efforts, in chairing especially the 87th meeting of the General Policy Committee and the Council meeting, stressing the importance of continuing to enhance all aspects of cooperation between the customs of the two countries.
