Czech people name Turkey as best destination
ANKARA (A.A) - 17.02.2011 - Czech people have named Turkey as the best destination in a survey carried out by a tourism magazine, Turkey's Culture & Tourism Ministry said on Thursday.
A ministry statement said that TTG Travel magazine published in the Czech Republic carried out a survey with 60,000 people and the readers of the magazine named Turkey as the best destination.
According to the survey, The second best destination was Thailand and the third was Greece.
Turkish Airlines (THY) took the third place in the "best airline" category of the survey.
The international magazine TTG Travel is one of the most significant titles for tourism professionals, which has presented the latest information about the trends and events in the tourist sector in dozens of countries for over 50 years. It has been published in the Czech Republic for 19 years.
The number of Czech people visiting Turkey was up 5.8 percent year-on-year in 2010 and reached 174,426.
