Egyptian Parliament Speaker: "A stable and secure Iraq" is a pivotal addition to Arab national security

Baghdad / NINA / - Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, Hanafi Jabali, affirmed that a stable and secure Iraq is a pivotal and indispensable addition to the Arab national security system.

    Jabali said, during the 34th conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, held today, Saturday, in the government palace in the center of the capital, Baghdad, that "the Arab countries have been going through crashing waves of grave challenges for some time that threatened the security and stability of our societies until they almost led to our Arab nation," noting that "these dilemmas Al-Arabiya has shown beyond any doubt the urgent need to formulate a common Arab approach to confront it, in compliance with the factors of unity that bind our Arab fabric with a solid bond.

    He added, "The Egyptian state formulated a comprehensive vision to save the Arab countries from the clutches of chaos, based on preserving the structure, cohesion and unity of the Arab national states and completely rejecting any external interference in the internal affairs of the Arab countries ."

    He explained, "Over the past many years, Iraq has endured what it cannot bear in the face of a complex set of threats that have weighed heavily on its shoulders, but the brotherly Iraqi people faced those threats with their usual courage, and was able to achieve one victory after another, which makes us look at the Iraqi model with great pride," stressing "Egypt categorically and completely rejects foreign interference in Iraqi affairs that aims to stoke sectarian strife," calling for "support for Iraq and strengthening Arab solidarity with the brotherly Iraqi people."/ End
