Enlarged Plenary Meeting of C.C, SPYL

Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The 9th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the 10th Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League (SPYL) was held through video conferencing on Thursday.

Present there were members and alternate members of the SPYL Central Committee.

Officials of the SPYL Central Committee and youth league committees of ministries, national institutions, provinces, cities and counties attended the meeting as observers.

The meeting discussed the issue of thoroughly implementing the resolutions of the 8th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Mun Chol, chairman of the SPYL Central Committee, made a report.

The reporter stressed that the tasks set forth at the 8th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee are guidelines indicating the scientific and practical orientation and ways for firmly defending the security environment of the country and further enhancing the overall national power to bring positive changes and development in all fields.

He called upon all the youth league officials and the young people to cherish the faith that the cause of the DPRK is invincible as it is guided by the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, the symbol of the country's mightiness, and to fulfill their honorable mission and duty as the advancing group and wing of the Party in the drive for implementing the Party's idea and defending its policies.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

A relevant resolution on the agenda item was adopted after the study and discussion on its draft at the enlarged meeting. -0-
